Wakeboarding is a fantastic sport that is gaining more and more followers. If you want to know what exactly a wakeboard is, read the following explanation.
A wakeboard is a water sports equipment in the form of a board, which is strapped to the feet in order to slide on the water. It is like the Snowboard laterally to the driving direction. The name Wakeboard derives the artificial wave created by the motorboat, the so-called “Wake” that uses the boarder, the wakeboarder as a jump ramp. The sport is called wakeboarding. Originated wakeboarding is the early 1990s.  Some surfers have developed this sport. When the surfers have been waiting during periods of no wind, they sometimes wanted to be drawn on the board by a motorboat.
The motorboat is pulling a wakeboarder usually with 32-39 km / h. Wakeboards are usually 111-144 cm long. The most important characteristics of wakeboards are the bent-up, the shape of the board and the types of fins.

One of the best wakeboard center in northern Italy is the center “WAKE UP” from Daniele Astori. They understand it very well, to teach beginners and also experienced wakeboarders. Precisely speaking, “WAKE UP” is a Center for Wakeboard, Wakeskate and water ski.

The times for wakeboarding are usually Monday to Sunday from 9h – 19h. However, it depends of course on the weather. Board and vest will be provided. You only need to bring enthusiasm for it. Mostly, one of the instructors gives instructions for the students. Wakeboarding  you can learn in this center already at  the age of 6-7 years. The important thing is just that you can swim. Kids ride usually after 2-3 lessons skillful through the waves.
